Ok so im a novice by most bassists standards, been playing for 2 years, and i mainly play your run of the mill metal/rock. But want to branch out to extend my ability, and came across Hal Leonard Bass Method books, i bought the funk/blues editions, and they feature a lot of great easy to understand techniques and sheet music for popular songs involving that genre, plus it includes a cd. If you're looking for a good bass resource, try these

Couldn't agree more.. I recently purchased The Complete Hal Leonard Bass Method , Books 1,2,3 ... best 15 bucks I've spent in a while.... and the CD's really top the cake.
