Hellborg's book, good/bad/ugly?

Think I remember seeing that Jonas Hellborg did an instructional book or vid or sumfink.

Can anyone comment on its quality, content, usefulness etc?

Chord Bassics is the name of the book. I bought it less than a month back, and it is a nice book. It is really a listing of chords for bass guitar (4 string) and it has a LOT of chords.

The only thing I'd say negatively about it is that it doesn't show inversions of things, which often sound better (to me) than stacking thirds. And inversions can be easier to finger than the stacked thirds chords.

I bought it for six bucks at a local music store, it's certainly worth that. As are Mr. Hellborg's albums.

I have a Hellborg book I bought back in the '80s called "Thumb Basics". It's an OK funk book but there are a lot of better ones out there.

Has a rippin' lil' 45 that came with it -- if'n y'all remember 45s!! haha!
