help!!! bass show off on August 6th :-)

i have a bass showoff on august 6th for a group project im a part of. i decided to do "the godfather - main theme". any way, whats the best way to practice and memorize the tab so i dont need to look at it when i do the presentation.

Find it on YouTube, play along from the tab again and again, put the tab aside, keep playing it till you can dream it.

thats like what i do.
ill learn one small part really good, then play it with the song till i have that one part down, then..
learn the next part really good, and play the whole song over again until both pieces flow well together, then...
you get where im going with this.....

it definitely is a long process, but in the end, you will have it memorized because you keep playing all the parts you learned, and your getting major repetition which drills it into your head.

Important detail: to play along with YouTube I use a computer speaker set with a woofer with seperate volume control (which of course I turn all the way down).
