Hey guys, looking for opinions!

Sign in to disble this ad
So the other day I decided I wanted to record something to put up on myspace just for kicks, though I just have a crappy headset mic. Alot of the practice I do revolves around improvisation, so I decuded to just jam for 10 minutes and cut about 4 minutes out because I didn't like it (you can sort of hear where I cut it too but its not too bad). I also played around with a few effects in audacity just for kicks

So I was hoping I could get a few people to give me some insight on it. I've been playing since Jan this year (started to get more serious around march). Your opinions are greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I played the tune a couple of times. One suggestion I would like to make is work on your phrasing. Phrases can be 4, 8, or 12 bars in lenght. Each phrase progresses through a series of chord changes, and ends with a some sort of cadance.

Thanks for the tip, I too felt that way after recording and I'll have to focus on it more when I improvise.
