High-end bass stores in Minnesota

The best place I've found for high-end basses in Minnesota is planetbass.com

Last November I personally went to check them out when I was in Minneapolis. Tony is a really great guy. He let my two friends of mine and myself come in and he put out a display of several Fodera and Modulus basses plus Aguilar and Epiphani amps to play. I would highly reccomend them to anyone looking to buy a high-end/botique bass or amplifier in Minnesota.

Anyone else had experience with them? Also, anyone else know of any place that sells high end basses in MN?

Willie's American Guitars (in St. Paul, near the University of St. Thomas) carries a lot of vintage gear, and they are also a dealer for Rickenbacker, Fender, Gibson, and Musicman. I know that those last three don't necessarily always fit what you probably mean by "high-end", but this place tends to deal only with the top lines from those makers, at least from what I've seen.

If you're looking for quality used and vintage guitars, that's the best place in the region, IMHO.

I love Willie's. They sell Bergantino also. I've purchased 3 basses and my first set of Bergantino cabs there.

I'm thinking about taking a trip (a little "me time" with no family) to Minneapolis for a couple days to do some looking. Places other than Planetbass and Willie's? I know the Guitar Center in Edina. Where else should I try to go?

I don't necessarily need high end stores, just places to kill time and play some basses.

I can't stress how cool the guys at Capitol Guitars are... they have knowledge of where everything is in the region.

If you bring your bass in, they'll string it and straighten the neck for next to nothing.
