i'ma beginner and i've been practicing for 3 months and i've been reading lots of tabs but in Red Hot Chilli Pepper's song Californication there is a fermata i can't play it right how can i ?

Fermenta, I think is something to do with eating beans. |

If it needs to be continuous in volume until the end, I'll increase the volume slowly to match the rate of decay or at least slow it.
