How much do I charge?

OK, say I'm in the Seattle area, and I wanna start giving bass lessons to a couple of friends. What are the going rates that amateur-to-intermediate level bass teachers charge these days?
I've heard everything from $30-$50 an hour. Of course I will cut the 'going rate' down to cool 'friend' prices. I'm good like that. So, gimme some numbers, and thanks.

What are your teaching credentials? Experience?

I charge $20/hour for the occasional lesson.

If you where offering programmed instruction, you could ask for $50.
