How to search for teachers available in my area?

Sign in to disble this ad
In the TB user profile, you can list if you want others to be able to search your profile to see if your available for teaching...

I'm not a teacher, but I'd like to find one...

How do I use this special search function??

You can search for TB members offering lessons by going to this page:

http://www.talkbass.com/forum/memberlist.php?do=search

Then you can go down to the "available for instruction" area and put in your information and search for members matching your criteria. That's how to search for members here who are offering instruction, but keep in mind that not all teachers are going to be registered here, so you might want to check out some other methods of searching as well.

Question UK based teacher sought

I am new to TB too and also looking for a teacher.

I appreciate this site is US based and as such, the only areas that are available to search as detailed in the post above are US states.

However, I am based in the UK, and would like some advice on finding a tutor locally. Is anyone aware of a similar site that is UK orientated or should I just start a thread here requesting for UK teachers that are local to me (Milton Keynes)?

Any advice is appreciated as not only am I new to this site but new to chat forums in general, and I know moderators can get upset if you post in the wrong forum.

Cheers!
