I need some new reading material. Preferably collections with lots of wack keys. Need some really, really hard stuff to sharpen the ol' eyes. Got suggestions?

Oh, and I will not tolerate tab or instructional crap. Just staves and notes. Lots of em.

Try some of my Zappa transcriptions, plenty of notes there:

Try "Michael Manring/Thonk" published by Hal Leonard. It's pretty whacked. Does contain tab with the scores.

Hi there. I've just added a lot of new bass charts at my site in the last couple of days. Look in the Basslines folder - there's stacks of stuff there.

Thanks for the links, guys. I wound up getting a Jaco transcription book, which is half useless anyway because I don't want to spend hours reading his harmonic stuff. Also got the Well Tempered Clavier and a collection of Bach inventions to keep me busy in both clefs. I'll be checking out the links you guys gave me, there's some great stuff in there.

Do you find Latin music interesting and/or challenging? I have a transcription of a Salsa bassline which isn't about playing lots of notes at warp speed, but it may be an interesting task if you aren't used to the genre.

I'm actually familiar with reading in Latin styles. I had Oscar Stagnaro as my teacher for a year, so I got real used to it. :P I think I'll try taking him again next semester as well.
