I've been trying to read a piece of sheet music and at the start it states that there are 3 sharps, C, F and G.
Ok that's no problem, but halfway through, there's a C with a natural sign by it. Does that mean that ONLY that C is a natural, or does it mean that every C is a natural from then on, until one has a sharp sign by it?
Same goes the other way around... there's a D with a sharp by it, and then a whole load more D's! Are they D sharp until stated otherwise, or just that one note?
Sorry to babble but I'm a noob at standard notation, and having trouble!!!
