I did a advanced search and couldn't find anyone in the area of Houston,Texas which is where i come from so I was wondering if there was anyone who could teach me at least for one lesson or give up some time to me maybe online threw webcam or EVEN better in real life? I know there are alot of threads for noobies like me and I am going to read the majority of them I just wanted to figure out if there was anyone out there that I could ask questions to like for instance what are all the Dy atomics or what is the best way to train my ear on a bass or on a piano? Where should I practice my scales on a Piano (keyboard is actually what I use) or a bass? Since I am a bass player using a Fender Squire ( I also wanted to know if that was a good bass or should I upgrade as soon as i can? I have played other basses and it doesn't kick the best but yeah what do yall think of the Squire?) If there is anyone out there answer my questions please do !! One more question for the record how in the world am i suppose to improve off a guitar if my ears aren't trained? does improving bass lines come when my ears get trained what am I to rely on now when my ears aren't trained exactly?

Thanks for your help,
Dard.

Hi. You have a lot of questions for one thread.

I'll take the easy one. Searching.

You can't search the member list with the forum search tool.

I did a search and found several people that are offering to teach in the Houston area. How I found them was click on the members list at the top, click on search members on the right side and then click advanced search. Type Houston in the location field, under "available for instruction" scroll down and choose Texas, pick your instrument and click on search at the bottom of the screen. I got 6 names of folks offering to teach bass guitar, one who says he played with the Army band. That'd be my first choice.
