hey guys,
lately ive been trying to improve my reading skills, as i am off to college in a month, and want to be as kickass at music as i can be when i get there. ive been reading walking bass lines out of a book i have, but im looking for something i can access on the computer, out of convenience.

what i really would like is a website of some kind that has on it some parts written out in standard notation, preferably in bass clef. i dont care what kind of music it is, i just want something that i can look over and play through to improve my reading.

thanks for anything you guys find or know of.
-peace

Hey man, sightreading is an awesome way to develop chops. I've found one resource really handy for this.

http://garywillis.com/pages/lessons/read.html

It doesn't feature any songs or show different rhythms but has a bunch of different notes and can be refreshed for hours of sightreading fun. For further reading get "The Evolving Bassist" by Rufus Reid for a bunch of different rhythms with open strings.

Sit there and convert tab to notation, vice versa. Its a pain, but you have to do what you have to do.
