I discovered these you tube clips From a post in this thread, Having never heard of Hal Galper before.
A Jazz pianist for over 50 years, he has played with the likes of Dizzy Gillespie, and seems to be all about teaching jazz music as approached by the greats in a very heartfelt way.

Not entirely piano or jazz specific, and some very keen observations and assertions about jazz, rhythm and music. good stuff, I thought, so I'm sharing...

technique part 1 :in the brain, not the hands

technique part 2 :chord-scale formulas are bogus

a piano lesson

rhythm & syncopation

the illusion of an instrument : its really brains, ears, and feelings

-----
He mentioned rhythm workshops by a guy named Mike Longo...anyone have any experience with Mike's stuff?

There's a lot of stuff in there for guys who "know all their scale , modes and chords" and aren't sure how to progress.
