Instructional DVD: Research

I am conducting research for a Project, and want to get input from Beginners, Intermediates alike. In trying to put together a valuable resource for the Gospel Musicians, although I think the musical concepts, in the Resource, will cover multiple genres of music. It's hard sometimes to think back to certain issues that were obstacles in playing. This is why I want players of all skill levels to chime in. Also certain stuggles for one musician, may be easy to grasp for another.

What are concepts that you wish folks would show, on instructional DVD's or in Books... that never seem to get addressed?

What type of guidance would you like to assist you navigate your way as a musician?

If you wished there was a DVD that actually applied what was previously learned to a song, speak on it. If you wish there was more emphasis put on relationship with other band members, speak on that as well? The floor is yours!

Thanks in advance.

When I'm watching an instructional DVD, I do want to get some instruction (scales, chords, etc). But I'm also interested in the person's philosophy and approach to music. I want to be imparted wisdom as well as tools to use when playing.
