Internet Lesson sites!

Hey!

I was wondering if any of you have used an internet site which has lessons on it to learn how to play bass!

I came accross Music Mater Pro looking for a way to learn bass cheaply.(http://www.musicmasterpro.com/?hop=2welcome)

I was wondering whether you think this is worth the money as it gives you lesson for drums and guitar if you want to learn them too!

I've taken classes at www.musicdojo.com

I highly recommend them over any other

Music Dojo is quite good. I definitely recommend them also!

A new player on the scene is http://www.workshoplive.com/. This is something created by the National Guitar Workshop. An excellent instructor I know is involved on the bass side of it (Dave Overthrow). It could be worth checking out. When last I looked at it, they had a few free lessons there to try.

Another place to check out is http://www.activebass.com/. There's a huge lesson section there that could keep anyone busy for quite a while.

They're great websites.

I've used www.musicdojo.com cheap for $50 really. You get interaction form the instructor, submit homework, etc. Pretty cool.

Hmm. What about taking lessons from Dave LaRue? Anybody have any experiences with his online lessons?

And about this www.musicdojo.com. Is it good at teaching TOTAL beginners?

I took a few class at the Music Dojo and recommend them especially Adam Nitti's classes.

If you want private lessons Cliff Engel over at the International Institute of Bassists does remote lessons. I took lessons from Cliff for awhile and was very informative and more communication with Cliff that many one-on-one teachers.

Has anyone used workshoplive? They have alot of lessons for $30 a month, would anyone recommend them over musicdojo?

Online lessons are better than nothing for me right now, I don't really have the time to take lessons in person.

I just used a free 7-day coupon code to check out workshoplive. I buddy of mine gave me a bunch of cards they were giving out at a seminar last year. So far, I think musicdojo has better material, but the workshoplive is far more advanced technologically. granted, my free pass doesn't give me access to classes, just their "lessons" which seem kind of random to me.

I'm not seeing video on musicdojo. Am I missing something? I can't learn without 'seeing'.

Many of the lessons on the music dojo site do include video, but some do not. For example, all of Anthony Wellington's lessons have videos as do most of Adam Nitti's (IIRC). However, I don't think Norm Stocktons have video, and to be honest, I don't think his need video.
