Intro to slowing down tracks in Win MP11 & VLC

Not sure if this is where i should be posting this, but couldn't find a more fitting place for this.

I've read a lot of articles here n there about software and devices that slow down tracks for figuring them out by ear. It came as a surprise to me that Windows Media Player has this feature. It was always there. I just wanted to share the idea...

In Win MP 11:
Bring up the View Menu (Alt+V)
View > Enhancements > Play Speed Settings

In VLC v1.1.4:
The icon above the pause button (along the track/video progress slider) can be used to slow down audio. The one on the extreme right is to speed it up and bring it back to normal speed again.

Hope this helps anyone and everyone out there. Cheers.

In VLC, you can use CTRL + or - to speed up and slow down. On a Mac, use the Command key.
