well im playing bass in a swing band
and the teacher that runs it keeps telling me i have to get the feel of the music
and feel the rythym

im asking what good jazz albums can i get
that have good basslines
just for me to get into the "Swing" of things

Count Basie's bands, those guys swung hard. They'll give you a great sense of ensemble work.

+1 any Count Basie record. Also check out Thad Jones for a different take on swing.

I would try to get to play with other musicians that "swing" that way I guess it all may just be easier.
Ray Brown, ron carter, Paul chambers etc etc etc.
