If the mods just gave you your own section, then they wouldn't have to worry about policing it...?

Alrighty then, I'm sorry but I'm not up to speed on this "One Path to Glory" approach.
Jeff, what are they talking about? I'd love to hear about it!

Jeff, we are happy to have you back here, for however long that may be!

Hopefully, we can all have a conversation in peace, without trolls, without baiting, without ad hominem attacks from those that disagree, where we can all respectfully learn something................where can that happen? As Rodney Dangerfield said in the excellent movie "Back to School" when asked in class where to build the factory - "How about fantasyland?"

Yipes! Well, I often turn my back on things that I feel weren't done correctly. This time, with no specifics nor any fingers pointed except loosley and generally, I HAD to say something! Still, I never actually read the ru***! And I still don't know what I did to get bl*****! But, at this point, I'm not really interested to know. I said my piece!

Fair enough,
everyone is entitled to be human. Hope things smooth over as I do find your posts interesting and informative.

Thank you! In this instance, I know that this wasn't a glorius bit of evidence pointing to my restraint and humility. But, as I mentioned, I don't apologize for it. In fact a few guys already wrote in saying that they understand where I am coming from.

Also, please don't say the word "mods" because I have no idea what you are talking about and I don't want to misguide anyone..............................

Why? Because you think his word is gospel? Maybe some people don't. That's fine. Opinions are like a## h**** - everybody has one.

Good point! But now that F F has left, things can be calmer. This is what I always wanted. P.S. I LOVE Rodney!

OMG

WOW, I think this is the first time I have commented on a Jeff Berlin thread, but I will say that if I did not know better, I would think the OP was someone who stole his I.D and used it here.

Those are strong in your face comments and I suspect this thread will be closed before I get back from picking up my girl from school.

As for my personal opinon of You, I have nothing but respect for what you have accomplished as a musician. Hope you can stick around for a while.

I have a narrow-road-to-musical-growth philosophy. I don't believe that people will improve in music by paying for lessons or attending musical events where music isn't the 100% center of the work that one has paid to learn. Many feel that there are lots of different roads to musical improvement. I don't!

Maybe I'll come down to the Players School, and we can hang out sometime "when you have no class!"

Rodney is one of my faves!

Jeff Berlin is one of the greatest to ever pick up a bass guitar and play it, bar none. Although I think everyone here should make a decent effort to obey the rules, TB is diminished significantly if we chase him away, IMO.

Interesting point! It sounds as if you may have a problem with what I say. Could you tell me about it? Thank you!

So what do you suggest that one do to improve other than the obvious of studying, playing and listening. Is there more than just simply hard work and I guess self realization?

And yes, I'm seriously interested in hearing what you have to say.

Thanks!

I LOVE that line. I even heard a line from Rodney that you probably never heard before (I know people on the "inside" who share things with me that don't get out in public).

Rodney once said that at his age, having a threesome was jerking off with two hands! That Rodney was a corker!
