Hey i just bought a six string

its not too bad its a Schecter Stilletto Studio 6 model and it has a good sound to it

however im having some difficulty getting used to the massive neck and fretboard as well as the two extra strings

can someone please help me out with some exercises or songs to build up a familiarity with this beast? any help would be much appreciated

Just play it in about a week you'll be used to it. The one thing to focus on muting when that many strings you get a lot of sympathetic string vibration and need to make sure you are muting all the string. Todd Johnson I believe has a video demo'ing floating thumb muting. Todd has his own forum here on TB he is Mr 6-string bass so he can point you to things to work on.
