Hi everyone

I'm just trying out a webcam for doing demonstrations of stuff I give to my students.

Here's the first test - at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQTMm0jem8o

It's 'She caught the Katy' as played by Donald Dunn.

Let me know if you have any comments - I'd be interested to hear feedback.

I was in a bit of a technology rage whilst playing so I hope that doesn't come across!

If anybody would like to see the transcription for the whole thing it's on my website, and is more accurate than what I play there.

It's at www.guitarlessonsbristol.org.uk on the 'lesson pdfs' part.

I think the framerate of your webcam is a little slow and the missed frames and motion blur might make it difficult for a student to see what your intentions are.

MarloweDK makes some great Youtube videos. Maybe he'll read this thread and share what he uses/does to make his videos so clear...

Thanks for the reply!

Yeah you've got a good point - the frame rate is a little low, meaning it blurs every so often - I'll have a look at the link you said. Thanks for the info!

Pretty good line. I can't really see what your hands are doing so I am picking it up by ear.

I normally choose 3 or 4 songs every week for my ear training- thanks for giving me one!

Hi there

If you go to my site, there's a transcription of the whole thing, so you can get the notes there - it's in both tab and notation. Otherwise, ear training is a good idea too!

There's a little tricky bit in there (just after the octave raises), and agood little device for remembering the rhythm is

Cold-lemonade-and-a-lemonade-spritzer
One-saturday-afternoon.

- If that makes any sense!
