Karaoke for Bass

About a decade ago, I came across something called Jam Session for Piano. It was a bunch of jazz recordings made with a full band but with the piano removed during mixdown. I found these to be terrific learning tools.

Which brings me to....anyone know of anything along these lines for bass players?

Any Jamey Aeborsold or other jazz playalong book, plus many others in different genres. Most stuff like this has removable bass or chordal instruments by panning left or right.

Band in a Box. It isn't a recording, just midi playback. But it's a good practice tool. Plus you can put in any changes you want.

Thanks guys...I'd love to find more jazz stuff. Standards, etc. Blues is much easier to practice alone.

Guitar pro tabs :shudder: only if they're GOOD, simply mute the bass line
