Kindle and sheet music

Sign in to disble this ad
I have been having my music instruction books sent to my PC Kindle file which I find has merit, however, I have not found a way to print specific exercises (cut and paste) from the Kindle file - so I can use them away from my PC.

I want to take the sheet music example over to a music stand and not be tied to my PC.

Any one found a way to do this.

Thanks

it's a limitation of the reader device... really sounds like you want an ipad or ipod...

OR send to a computer, manipulate and then forward pdf to your kindle.

Isn't the point of a Kindle to be portable? Why do you need to print specific sheet music when you can put the Kindle in front of you?

I have the Kindle in my laptop so it is portable and the screen is larger on the laptop, however, I would like to take paper to a music stand. Call me old fashion......

Hoping for a solution.

Print screen is a solution, not completely satisfactory, but, it does get it to paper.

Its possible that you might be able to convert from the Kindle's format to PDF or HTML and print that. Here's a program that can convert a lot of e-reader formats. My wife has a Kindle but I've never tried to pull her books off of it to test (its a lot of trashy romance )

calibre - E-book management

If that doesn't look like it will work, then Google "convert kindle to PDF" or something similar. There must be programs that can do this.

Granddaughter is here this week-end. She has me going.

Print Screen then copy to your word processing file.
Crop to get just the sheet music, increase size, and print.

Piece of cake.
