Learning to read treble clef

Which of the following would you agree with:

1) Become proficient in reading bass clef first, then learn treble clef.

2) Both clefs are important. You should be practicing both clefs equally, and becoming proficients in both at the same time.

3) Treble clef?

I'll go with answer 2. It isn't that hard to learn both

It depends on your goals as a bassist and as a musician. If you ever decide to try the Bach 'cello suites on bass, for example, chances are you'll want to be able to read both bass and tenor clef. If you want to learn to read melodies from a piano score, then learn bass and treble clef.

If you just want to pound the low end, bass clef will likely be all you need. Conceptually, they are all the same; only the position of middle C (or other reference note) on a piano changes on each stave, depending on clef.

no. 2!
Just force yourself to learn them both and you'll have them down before you know it.
Don't worry about the C clefs for now.
