Less creative during the day?

I read something interesting that someone else posted in another thread:

Quote:
Try to get into an alpha state of mind (there are basically four levels of consciousness - beta, alpha, theta and delta. Beta is the day-to-day chit chat a-to-b logical reasoning frame. Alpha is the more relaxed, day dreaming imaginative state. Theta is a deeper form of alpha, usually a dream state when we're asleep, and delta is deep sleep or fully unconscious) as this helps the imagination flow and can allow fresh ideas to flourish.
This is really true for me. during the evenings, everything sounds fresh and good. i can listen to jazz all night when i'm tired. but during the day music for me just doesn't get stuck in my brain as easy, sort of speak. i just want something more catchy and simple. is there any way to change this, or anyone who feels the same?

Early mornings for me...a blip of creativity may have a chance on a Saturday morning, right after the coffee.

+1 on the coffee. The time I have the most fun playing, am most inspired, and am most creative is from 12:00-3:00. That is when I drink my coffee and play, between classes/work.
