I'm 16 and have played bass for 3-4 years. I was wondering where in your opinion is the best place to take lessons in the Chicagoland area. I'm interested in theory, jazz and rock.

The top 3 guys off the top of my head are Tom Mendel, Chuck Webb, and Scott Mason. Chuck plays for Jersey Boys & teaches at Columbia College, Scott Mason teaches at Roosevelt, and Tom Mendel plays for Wicked. I haven't studied with Chuck yet, but i hear he's amazing. Scott & Tom are killer teachers and will take your playing to new heights IF you put in the work.

While I don't have any first-hand experience, I've heard good things about Bill Harrison. He teaches both electric and upright.
