Pete Griffin, bassist for Grammy Award winning band Zappa Plays Zappa, is now accepting students of all levels.
Pete has played for a wide array of artists in many different genres, from pop/rock band Hanson to legendary classic rocker Edgar Winter.
Pete can teach you:
Technique (fingerstyle, slap/pop, pick, upright)
Vocabulary (note choice, music theory, odd time signatures, soloing techniques)
Gear Maintenance (bridge/truss rod adjustment, finding your tone, effects use)
Creativity (crafting basslines, backing up a soloist, playing with a metronome/drummer, studio vs live playing)
and anything else you might want to learn.
Conveniently located in Hollywood near the 101, or he can come to your place (for an extra fee.) Skype lessons also available.
First lesson is $40/hr, normally $60.

Pete is a great teacher and performer.
In just a few meetings he corrected my mechanics and set me on a solid path.
Between elevating my technique and the encouragement, my playing has improved substantially.
If you are in the LA area, he's the man.
