Lets push that envelope, but gently! (song requests)

Hello there

Now as a complete an utter novice (closing in on 2 months playing now) I have had an immense amount of fun learning to play the bass guitar.
I have practiced more or less every day for this period and it is incredibly satisfying to see how my skills gradually improve!

I have focused on finger dexterity to begin with, a few scales. (I have a long musical background on brass instruments so I have a general understanding of theory)
And offcourse, I pick out a few songs that I want to learn. This last part is what I think is how I gauge how my skills are improving.
(As in, I can play passage to bangkok but I can basically forget about something like YYZ for now)

This is where I turn to you. I am looking for songs that match my current skill level and that will present a challenge for me. Something that is NEARLY outside of what I can play, so that I may stretch and close a gap to become even better when I can do it.

A few songs that I have down at present:
money (duh)
black dog
breathe and young lust
passage to bangkok
taxman!
paranoid

All of these I feel I can play with a relative feeling of confidence, and I think most of you can get an idea of what I listen to and also what may present a challenge for me.

Now you can offcourse preach some zen advice such as "you can play anything man just practice" and thats fine, but im simply just looking for some good songs in the beginner/intermediate level.

I listen to all kinds of music from classic rock to progressive house and hip hop. Even some light jazz here and there, so I will appreciate all suggestions!

Thanks!

But, greatest rock albums/drive rock/ultimate air guitar compilations and pick of a bunch of songs to increase your repetoire, most are about the standard of what you can play now. Queen also have some great simples grooves so any of there stuff.

Also if you have a TV nearby play along to music channels.
As far as naming song titles, christ man we will be here all day.

Haha.. Thanks for your input, but I dont really enjoy those compilations that much. They are usually filled with alot of crap.

I will look into queen however, so thanks for that!
