Long shot, need a teacher...

Hey,
I live in the UK and have in my area a distinct lack of good bass teachers in my area. That teach everything from blues to metal.
So this is a basic request for a teacher in England, in the east yorkshire and humberside area.

If anyone knows of a good teacher to reccomend or is a teacher, any information will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
matt.

You'll be hard-pressed to find a teacher who's willing to teach you blues and metal anywhere.

i didnt necasarily mean that, but the teachers round here tend to just teach songs from tab.
Bascially i just want a proper teacher, who will teach me how to be a bass player, not just how to play the bass from tab because i have the ability to do that on my own. and can do it reasonably quickly, so its pointless going to lessons where nothing constructive is done.

ok then, what books would you reccomend for theory then?

I've used a Hal Lenord, but am beyond that now, and also the bass guitars for dummies book. What would anyone else reccomend, as i found these books very useful for the first eyar of playing.

Thanks, matt.
