If you know the name of the editor, you might find it more readily, as the names of some publishers have changed.
My son's cello teacher suggested the Barenreiter edition. I noticed in the article below that it comes with no bowings or fingerings, which would seem to make sense for coming up with your own interpretation on electric bass.

I have the Pierre Fournier edition for cello, and the Sterling edition for bass -- both purchased as directed by my teachers at the time. The Sterling is transposed. I pick and choose from both editions to find pieces that are enjoyable to play on upright bass without too much thumb position acrobatics. Finding an entire suite that can be made to sound musical on an electric bass will be a nice challenge that I have not myself attempted yet.
