Looking for a Little Help in Playing Bass Line of Song?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello everyone,

I am a new member of this forum and hope I am posting this in the right area. I am an inexperienced bass player and my ears are not trained. I'm looking for a little help from the more experienced bass players with good ears. Can you please tell me what key is this song in and give me a hint as to what the first few notes of the bass line are? Thanks any help you can provide.

It's a 70's song by Babe Ruth called "The Mexican"

It's all on the 2nd fret. One chord has the line that goes between B and F#; the other chord goes between E and B. Sing it to yourself and make it work!

Um, isn't the bassline in that song the same 4 notes all the way through?

Yeah, it's a pretty tough funk tune. Anyone else?
