Sup everyone.

Today I got some disappointing news from my bass teacher. He said hes taken me as far as he can on the bass, and I need a new teacher. I knew this was coming from the beginning as he is really a guitar player by trade and doesnt normally do bass lessons, but its sad none the less.

Anyways, I need a new teacher. I live in the Chicagoland area, specifically St. Charles, Illinois, and I am willing to drive a bit to get there. My main goals on bass are to become proficient in advanced music theory in most genres of music, and to become a pretty solid rock and roll bassist.

Age=14
Technical ability=Decent finger and pick, still learning popping double thumb and slap.
Music theory level=pretty good basic music theory in classical and rock and roll theory.
