I need a good jazz/rock bass teacher within reasonable distance of west los angeles. I've been playing for about 4 years and have good playing skills but my reading, theory and improv skills are **** so I need some work with that. Any suggestions are appreciated.

If you call MI a couple of the instructors live around there and teach privately. I know David Kief is in that area. If you want to get real serious Reggie Hamiliton takes a few students.

Dave Curtis. He's in the Valley, but just off the 405 at Nordhoff. He's great with theory and improv.--and a super nice guy.

I'm a former MI teacher, and I'm located in the valley. If your still looking for a teacher, PM me and we'll discuss it.

Bunny Brunel. My ex-GF studied with him and liked him. And he took over Stanley Clarke's spot with Chick Corea. 'Nuff said.
