I was just wondering if there was somewhere online where there are guitar riffs or whatever with what notes they are playing that we could use to make up bass to it

I'm not sure what you're looking for but the following link may help because it has guitar parts online that you can jam with.

Free Jam tracks

I use jamstudio.com. You fill out the lead sheet(s) and pick which instruments you want playing. Kind of like an online Band-in-a-box. It's got it's quirks, but I like it

That's new. I just downloaded all of the tracks a few days back when they were all free.

Yeah, it seems that it went to membership but there are still some free tracks. The website is kinda confusing.

Find the following below the Stevie Ray video at: http://www.freejamtracks.com/index.html

"Free Pages - the free downloads can all be found on the below pages. If you want a full backstage pass so you can download all the tracks then click here to signup to the members section."

Click on the category that interests you and you'll find some tracks that are free.

I am puzzled by your post, too. If you have a recording, do what most bassists do, figure out parts by ear by playing along.

As you keep at it, you will get better and better at it. Eventually, it will become your most treasured asset, as you will understand (know how to play) just about everything you hear AS YOU HEAR IT. Imagine the freedom...
