| I can't say for sure but, I'd think once a player has heard the music off Youtube, maybe off a site where a another player is teaching from, they, the student, would be more likely to go out and purchase it the original. Its the style of music people are drawn to not just the bass lines.
I, being an, let's say, a seasoned musician, am surprised how much music I've purchased after being rekindle with it after I've heard it on Youtube. Music, I owned in album form that never bought on CD. But, after these such actions by what it amounts to excessive greed by WB & PRS, though I'm not sure who they are, I'll make it a point to avoid these companies in the future.
The record companies are in the crapper not because of musicians and music but because of corporate greed. Years ago they produced lots of music by lots of different artists then they decided, probably after Thriller, they wanted all the money from a few artists.
Record companies, oil companies, banks and the big three are all run by the same people. ...... Accountants who may be able to multiply but they just can't add. |
