Melodic dictations

In my music theory ap class we do things called melodic dictations. To be honest I don't do well on them. I have tired practicing them with http://www.teoria.com/exercises/md.htm. What I am asking is do you have any other good places I could practice because i have started to memorized the melodies it plays which defeats the purpose. Do you guys also have any helpful tips? I can do intervals no problem so that isn't the problem.

If intervals isn't the problem, what IS? Did you do any rhythmic dictations?

You can try playing along with melodies on the radio. See how quickly you can keep up with them. Or, even without a radio, just sit down and try playing any melody that comes to mind: nursery rhymes, TV show theme songs, etc....

I think the problems are that I can do it fast enough. I hear the melody but i can't memorize and I feel as if I lose pace after a measure or two. I do play songs I have. I do not use tabs because I think they cause Dependency so I try and learn all songs by ear. I can do it fairly well too. I am just wonder if you guys have any other practice sites?
