Mild soreness in left forearm - anything to worry about?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello all,

Tonight I picked up the ol' Lakland and noticed some mild soreness in the pinky end of my left forearm. It wasn't really anything more than a small throb that corresponded with the movement of my fingers, but I've always been told to quit immediately if there's any muscular pain, so I'm checking to make sure.

I had a pretty long practice session last night (about an hour and a half longer than normal) and I have been making it a point to arch my pinky instead of lock the joint (to avoid pain/discomfort/slowness there). Other than that it's been pretty much business as usual over the last few weeks. My instructor says my form is fine and that it doesn't look or sound like I'm putting too much pressure on the hand when I'm playing, so I'm really hoping this is a one-off thing. A quick Google search didn't turn up much so I thought I'd ask you guys. Any ideas?

Since you're asking an internet forum for a diagnosis I would say you have a malignant tumor and high blood pressure. Check out WebMD for DIY treatment.

Find a basketball and try to squeeze it hard with your left hand for an hour and a half.

(...)

Now you know.
