I've sorta been there before. Like man, i can't wait to get home and play! but then I didn't when I got there. The biggest thing for me was to find new things to learn, once I got comfortable with more scales, then i went to theory, and then funk, then jazz, and just keep rolling with it so you don't get stuck. But you have to WANT to learn more, and be a better player. As for practicing, learn different songs, go to youtube, figure out some songs, and play along with them. Even go for some that aren't even your style, for instance, I played in a punk band, but I loved playing blues and funk when practicing.
Just hang in there, and take things one step at a time.

There is not greater motivation than having others depending on you to learn the material. Join a band.

This is exactly what I thought when I read your OP.
You gotta play with people

Exactly this. Bassists are disadvantaged in that it can be very difficult to make the thing sound good as a solo instrument, especially if you haven't been playing that long. Joining a band is fun, gets you all kinds of theory, improvisation, technical, composition, and performance experience. Also, as stated above, you've always got plenty of material to work on, or else you'll let everyone else down, which is a pretty good incentive.

Man, we've all been there before lol! Try and set your self little goals... baby steps are easier than giant steps (excuse the pun!).

Good luck with your journey.

Scott.
