So i've never been a huge huge fan of the Chili Peppers ...but i always liked em......

sinse i started actively studying and practicing bass a year and a half ago the Flea thing has really allowed me to over look the stock/formulaic 4 chord song writing vibe they've fallen into the past decade ....damn his lines are fun to play and great to teach to students as well...

they really make those tunes crank ....it's rare that an individual performance will change my outlook on songs i may have already dismissed as watered down but here i am .....lovin' the flea lines....

Glad yer felling good vibes there. I don't know much about the Chili Peppers or Flea's lines, just haven't listened much. But, I picked up your comment of saying his lines were fun to play. It makes me think of all the times I've come up with a little one-measure thing and jammed on it for about twenty minutes, letting it evolve, or allowing myself to feel a groove coming into it. That is...FUN. Simple stuff, simple lines, but they say something as far as feel goes. It's a good feeling to play stuff that is fun to play.
