I haven't taken that course, but I have taken other courses at Music Dojo and enjoyed them especially Adam Nitti and Cliff Engel's courses.

Yeah I've taken it. It starts out very very basic and builds up. It focuses a lot on hearing the drums, rhythm, etc. I'd suggest it and I'll probably end up taking groove 2/jazz improv 2.

I would suggest jazz improv 1 very very strongly (Adam Nitti is the instructor). It shows a lot of modal theory which if you're a beginner as I was when I took can seem very overwhelming but is extremely helpful.

I signed up yesterday for the course and I expected it to be basic. I have very little training however I have many years playing. All I was taught was Bluegrass and root 5ths and the fretboard. The best thing that developed was a decent ear. That was back when I was around 15 years old back in the late 70's. I quit playing in the early 80's and have been playing for the last 8 years. Mostly prasie and worship. I also have done some blues work. So all my playing is pretty basic. So I figure I need to start basic and build up. I heard Adam was a great teacher.

Thanks

Earlier this year I took all 3 courses (Art of Groove). It has given me so much it's unbelievable. I used to know nothing about modes, especially how to use them and now that knowledge has given me alot of freedom in my playing. The courses also talks alot about the interaction of bass with drums, which is really interesting.

All 3 course are great!
