Hello, I'm an italian bass player.

I'd like to know what are the best music schools.
On line I found a lot of schools with Higher Diploma and Bmus as ACM in Guildford, ICMP and Music Tech close to central London and Bimm in two different places.

Which of these are best to study and live?

Thanks and sorry for my english

London: V E R Y expensive.
Birmingham: V E R Y depressing. And probably expensive.

Good luck!

I'd go with one of these...they are proper and all in London.

Trinity College of music
Guildhall school of music and Drama
Royal Academy of music
Royal College of music

As far as I am concerned these are pretty much the top of the tree.

There are a lot of colleges and universities in the UK that do music.

A friend of mine has a BA (hons) in Music and has just completed a Masters (in composition) from Edinburgh University.

I think you'll struggle to find a good quality institute that only focuses on popular music.

I attend the ICMP, and it's very good. The teacher's are wonderful and it attracts some great students. In all honesty the facilities won't be the best you'll find, but they're adequate, and you probably won't find anywhere with much better teachers.
