music school fee question! ?

Sign in to disble this ad
theres a new school opening here, they are offering a 6month diploma program and the fee is about 5600$ or so for Indian student. they are getting international musicians to teach and all, i dont know how good or bad their campus, etc is. all i know is this is their first time too and its across the whole country!
they have STEVE JENKINS and STEVE ZERLIN teaching bass for three months each.

you can check for the details here
http://sam.org.in/

the question, is the fee justifiable? how much do you pay for such a 6month residency program in other countries?

personally, i was interested before i got to know the fee. its kinda very high for a 6month diploma program for me, i paid about 1800$ or so for my 3 year graduation program in mass communication and journalism at a university but probably its partly government funded because the fee at the govt universities is mostly next to nothing afaik. but anywho considering its a private school what do you think? am thinking if i had this kind of money i could go abroad and learn, dunno really. kind of taken aback though

Seems good to me.

This is the program I'm in. It's something to compare it to.

Compared to Berklee, your school is pocket change! hahah

yeah berklee is terribly expensive, i know humber is a great college though.
but this is the fee at humber for TWO semesters, that is one whole year i presume
The 2009/2010 fee for two semesters was
- domestic $5,938.98
- international $11,730.

now am a domestic student here and this is for 6 months, but anyway maybe i will just wait a year and go for it the next time, that ways i'll could have some part of the fee saved up
