New bassist looking for people to jam with
Hey everyone,
As the title states I'm new to bass, been playing about 4 months or so. I'm looking for some people to jam with, nothing serious just looking to hone in on my skills with others who are more talented then myself. Style really doesnt matter to me, i just want to get more playing time in. I take weekly lessons and have alright gear atm. need a bigger amp if drums are going to be involved but that's easy enough to attain. thanks again for looking |

Type of music you would like to play or are learning with you lessons....You could put Blues and get some guy's that you could jam with right away.

marty, age i could see. im posting to the local Toronto board and mst the musicians wh use it are around downtown. but i will add that for my next ad. as i said style is not a huge thing. in my lessons we haven't even done a song yet. mostly its been correcting my terrible technique (think all fingers hovering high above the srtings) which is going well :P.
plus id rather play a bit of everything right now, more chances to improve different things. |

I believe there are jams on Thursday night at the Black Swan on Queen St. W with Tony Springer. Then there's also Lola's in the Kensington Market. and also at Harlem Restauraunt. Look around, they should be easy enough to find. |

However, I'd still suggest putting something down. Many people get turned off by such generalized ads and won't respond. You could be bypassing the right situation without even knowing it. Toss in a bunch of different genres, or at least say "no grindcore metal," or "any style except no country," or something. I think it'll serve to your benefit. |

Tried finding out why, but could never get any info or help. I'm looking for players in Nashville to jam/shed with.
