Need Ideas on Bands

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi, I need some idea's on some bands to play to when I'm practicing at home. At the moment, I kinda practice to Dream Theater (lol, I try), Queensryche, Evanescence, and a couple more. Any ideas on other bands with that same hard driving sound? Not into Metal, more hard rock. Thanks for any ideas!

Bass made more sense to me when I started seeing it from a bunch of different angles... I would broaden your horizons, play some blues (STV, Duck Dunn's work) some funk (The Meters, RHCP, James Brown, Parliament) mo-town, jazz...w/e.

Your clearly into prog so there is always Rush, and Yes, I've been listening to a lot of Liquid Tension Experiment lately (half of dream theater)...TOOL.

I listened to a bit of prog and then got real into psychedelic hard rock...Zappa, Les Claypool (Frog Brigade, Oysterhead).
