I'm looking for an instructor in the area. My problem is my schedule. I work evenings. Anyone know of someone good around here that might have weird hours? I'm a rank beginner for all intents and purposes.been working a little out of the Hal Leonard book. Into instrumental surf mostly, but would like to learn other genres as well.

I sent you a PM. I'm in Montgomery County and could teach you.

If you decide to go with someone else, have you looked into music schools/guitar shops in the area? Some of them probably have weekend hours. From what I hear, the quality of instruction at guitar shops is hit or miss. You might have better luck with dedicated music schools. Also, you might want to check out Montgomery College. I know they have private lessons offered as classes through the music department, but I don't know if you have to be a music major to take them.

Hard for me to do weekends. Have my kids every other and I'm not willing to take time away from them. Meant to post that originally. I also end up working every other Saturday during the fall and winter. Will get back to you on the pm. Thanks.

That's good advice. I went to MC for photography waaaaaay back when dinosaurs roamed the earth . I also took a couple music classes there. Top notch instruction.
