New Oscar Pettiford Solo transcribed

Sign in to disble this ad
A little while ago I transcribed this Cello Solo of the great Oscar Pettiford, but for bass.
Actually, I notated the transcription an octave lower than it sounds for ease of reading.
But it will sound like OP transposed an octave up.

As a reference, you can hear Oscar himself play the solo in this YouTube video starting at about 0:31.

The pitch for the video seems to be somewhere in between G and Ab. However I transcribed the solo in G.
Here is my transcription

Hope you have fun learning it,
as much as I enjoyed transcribing it!
Cheers
EB
