NY Metro Area Bass Instructor Needed

Anyone have recommendations for a great teacher in the NY Metro Area? I live in Northern NJ, but would be happy to travel to the city...

I have been playing since 1983, but took a long time away from the instrument (from 1990 - 2005). I would classify myself as an intermediate player, and really want to take my playing to the next level. My reading is fairly pathetic but I do have a decent understanding of chords, modes, etc.

When I started playing I loved The Police, the Clash, U2, The Jam -- stuff like that and I could sit down and fairly easily play through this kind of music (all by ear). I was in several bands in the late 80's, performed in public fairly often and recorded an album (unfortunately it never got released).

When I came back to the bass three years ago, my musical tastes had grown and presently include jazz / funk / soul / fusion. Players I love are Victor Wooten, Victor Bailey, Bootsy, Rocco, Jaco, Marcus, Jamerson (okay, who doesn't love these guys?).

I practice at LEAST an hour a day and am looking for someone to help provide the structure and methods to help me work smarter and expand and improve my playing. I appreciate any input you could provide!
