Odd Time/Compound Time

So a drummer I jam with recently turned me on to a great way to kill idle time...keeping time.

So he suggested I count songs by some of my favorite prog acts to gain a better understanding of complex time and walked me through a few tool songs... This has been a huge eye opener, I'm understanding their music on another level now, and learning a whole lot.

Anyway I'm still at a point where I'm counting some things strangely/like confirmation when I'm counting something correctly...although I'm picking this up much faster than I thought I would.

So to the point... If anyone has any "time charts" for prog songs or the like they don't mind pasting up here so I can use them to check my work that would be great...I think my friend is going to get tired of me running up his cell bill with txts like "schism break: 'and the poetry that comes' bar of 8 bar of 4?"

Time is just a beat. Should it be 2,3,4,5, 7 or 9, the beat is always there. The feel should be found but the time should be known.
