online bass lessons?

I'm inquiring about online bass lessons, as I am looking for more lessons and am wondering if these are any good. I already do lessons with a teacher but am considering these as well. If there are any good ones, can you recommend some? Also i'm not a beginner but im no expert, i can play basic slap things (RHCP - Can't Stop) etc.. but can't quite sight read yet.

Can't help you with reading, never learned and don't care to, but there are numerous bass lessons on YouTube of varying usefullness.

I've always found the web to be somewhat lacking for this type of thing. If you want to learn how to sight read, the only way is to read a LOT. Every day. With a metronome.

I'd go to a local music store that has a decent book selection and find a bass book or two that look adequately challenging. Or ask your teacher for some recommendations. You will progress much faster if you get the appropriate level of material (and a lot of it).

There are a ton of websites that can teach you the basics of reading but the only way to sight read is through practicing your ass off. It takes a lot of work and you'll probably be pretty bored a lot of the time, but if you want to get to that level of reading then it's the only way to do it.

www.musicdojo.com

There's a sight reading studies for bass class. They give you the lessons and the support of a teacher. The rest is up to you.
