Pain in left index finger

Recently I've been playing more than usual (+1 - 1.5 hours) and I'm developing some pain in my left index finger right where it joins at the hand (I'm thinking its probably tendonitis). I'm wondering if this is anything anyone else here has experienced, and if so, I would greatly appreciate any advice they have to offer about it.

Do hand/finger stretches! Also make sure you're not overworking that one finger unnecessarily.
