Could anyone show me how to play(TABS) that bass solo in the song "you Can Call Me Al" ? I used to love that riff. I heard Paul Simon on the R&R Hall Of Fame concert last weekend and they played that tune and some bass player killed it ( meaning it was awsome). Someone show me!

Bakithi does his little solo at about 8:35. The guy in the first video was close but not quite. However, the recorded solo was Bakithi playing that riff for a bar, then they reversed it and played it backwards.

That's some pull offs from the Gm pentatonic scale. I suggest buying the album Graceland. Much cooler grooves and riffs on that album, as well as if I'm a liar "Call Me Al" is also on there so you can atleast enjoy that.

Me too. What other Paul Simon song can you think of that has such a memorable bass part? This is a fun song to learn and to play.
